Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

ABC Drop Kids Alphabet is made for children ages 3–7 and their families. It has no ads, no in-app purchases, no sign-in and no social features. This policy explains, in plain language, the one kind of data the app sends and how to switch it off.

The short version

  • We collect no personal information from anyone, child or adult.
  • The app requests no permissions at all — no microphone, camera, location, contacts or storage.
  • Progress, stickers and any name you type stay on your device.
  • Anonymous gameplay counts go to Google Analytics with all advertising signals disabled.
  • One toggle in the Parent Zone turns even that off completely.
  • We never sell, share, rent or trade data with anyone.

Stored on your device only

Level progress, stars, stickers, daily streaks, unlocked extras, your settings, and any name you enter for name-tracing are kept only on the device, in local storage. None of it is uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or tapping "Reset all progress" erases it permanently.

Anonymous usage statistics

Unless a parent turns it off, the app sends anonymous gameplay counts to Google Analytics (GA4) so we can see which levels children enjoy, which letters they find hard, and where the app confuses people. Typical events look like "level 4 completed in 92 seconds" or"letter Q answered incorrectly on attempt 2".

What is never collected

Your child's name, voice, photographs, contacts, precise location, email address, phone number, or any free text they or you have typed. The app requests no microphone, camera, contacts, location or storage permission — it has no technical ability to collect these things even if it wanted to.

No advertising, no profiling

Google Signals, ad personalisation and ad storage are all disabled before the first measurement is sent, and the Android Advertising ID is never read. Nothing collected here can be used to target advertising at your child, build a profile of them, or follow them to another app or website. We do not use analytics data for advertising of any kind.

No cookies, no device identifier

Google's analytics cookie is switched off. Instead, the app generates one random number on first launch so that repeat sessions can be told apart from new ones. It is not derived from your device, phone number, advertising ID or anything else about you; it cannot identify a person; it is not shared with other apps; and it is destroyed by "Reset all progress" or by uninstalling.

Turning it off

In the app: Parent Zone → Privacy & data → Anonymous usage stats. When it is off, the measurement code is never even downloaded and nothing at all leaves the device. Every game keeps working exactly the same, offline included. The setting is remembered across updates and is not reset by "Reset all progress".

Who else sees the data

Google, as our analytics processor, and nobody else. We use no advertising networks, no attribution SDKs, no crash-reporting third parties, no social SDKs and no A/B-testing services. We do not sell or share data, in the sense used by the CCPA/CPRA or any other privacy law.

Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Children's privacy

ABC Drop Kids Alphabet is directed at children and is built to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK/EU GDPR including the provisions on children (GDPR-K), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and Google Play's Designed for Families policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children of any age, because we do not collect personal information from anyone. There is no chat, no user-generated content, no social sharing, and no way for a child to contact a stranger through the app. Settings and any external link sit behind a parental gate.

Your rights

Because we hold no account and no identifier that points to a person, we cannot look up, export or delete "your" records — there are none to find. You can delete everything the app holds at any time by resetting progress or uninstalling. If you have a question or a request under GDPR, GDPR-K, COPPA, the CCPA/CPRA or any other privacy law, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

International transfers

Anonymous analytics events are processed by Google on servers that may be located outside your country, including in the United States, under Google's standard contractual clauses. No personal data is included in these transfers.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the updated policy ships with the app release that introduces the change. The in-app copy and this page are always kept in step.
